The Federal Essential Air Service program may receive an additional 30
million dollars in federal funding over the next few years as a result of a
deal struck between House and Senate negotiators on the Deficit Reduction
Act of 2005.

EAS program, praised his colleagues for keeping federal funding in tact for
the program.
The EAS ensures that small communities are able to maintain a minimal level
of scheduled air service.
