National Fuel’s phone rang off the hook Thursday after thunderstorm rolled over Western Ny and Northern PA.Calls about strange smell came in from Chautauqua County to Erie and Warren County, and several other areas in along the NY and PA border. Officials suspect that the smell may have come from Lake Erie. The winds may have blown in a wiff of algae from the lake, the exact nature of the small has not been determined.
