Peterson Pushes For Lower Natural Gas Prices

US Congressman John Peterson announces that the Peterson / Abercrombie amendment to the House Resources Committee Energy Bill has been passed.

 

The Legislation lifts the generation-old presidential and congressional moratoria on natural gas production along the country’s Outer Continental Shelf.

 

Peterson says the US is in a Natural Gas Crisis, and his amendment will make natural gas supplies available quickly.

 

Natural Gas prices are spiraling out of control; they are currently at an all time high of $14.50 per million BTU.

 

The energy bill must now go to the House floor for full consideration.
