And a Sled Riding Party is set for Burns Farm on Lanniger Creek Road From 11-3. The Roulette Chamber of Commerce will provide hot dogs and cocoa.

State Police are investigating a suspected assault at the Potter County Jail. 20-year-old William Morgart suffered head injuries while incarcerated on February 9. Authorities are not sure how Morgart received the injuries. State Police were called in to assist in the investigation.

State Police in Potter County are investigating an incident of theft from a PennDOT building. 35 year old Coudersport man Scott Majot reported earlier this month that someone stole two Motorola Talkabout Radios from the PennDOT Maintenance building in Pike Township. The radios are valued at 100 dollars. Troopers ask anyone with information to give them a call.

Three Kane men were arrested in Erie Couny New York and sent back to face charges before District Justice Kennedy. 26-year-old Donny Lee Smith, 20-year-old Josh Bodistow, and 25-year-old Russell Ferraro are all charged with theft and criminal conspiracy charges. The trio is accused of stealing a car belonging to Andrea Swartz of Kane, with intent to buy drugs in buffalo. The men were also found to be in possession of crack, heroin, and drug paraphernalia.

FCI McKean is back in lockdown status. The prison spent a week in lockdown earlier this month. The prison is back in lockdown status to ensure the safety of prison employees and inmates after some inmates expressed concerns about the nationwide smoking ban in Federal prisons.

A case was heard Wednesday at District Justice Barbara Boser’s office involving a student from Otto-Eldred High School accused of making bomb threats. 18-year old Cody Robertson was charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct. The police chief of Otto-Eldred, Craig Switzer, and Otto-Eldred English Teacher, Ms. Terry Cooney, testified on behalf of the commonwealth. A $2,500 bail was been posted, with the requirement that no guns or weapons shall be within the premises of Robertson’s home, and he is not to be within ½ mile of the school grounds. Robertson’s will appear in the Court of Common Pleas in Smethport at a later date.

State Police also report an incident of indecent exposure in Genesee Township. A 54-year-old woman told police that 39-year-old Rodney Outman of Whitesville New York exposed his genitalia and request intercourse. Outman was arraigned and released on bail.

State Police report an accident along Route 6 in Eulalia Township Tuesday. 30-year-old Jeanette Smith of Eldred left the roadway and struck a utility pole. She was not injured in the accident.

Sentencing for John and Timothy Rigas has been postponed. The pair will be sentenced March 24. The delay is to allow for negotiations to determine what payments the court will require them to make.

At least one man was injured in an accident at the intersection of Main Street and Route 6 in Roulette on Thursday of last week. 27-year-old John Post was injured when his white car was struck by a tractor-trailer driven by 19 year old Kendal Karr during a white out. Posts vehicle was transporting 24-year-old Daisy Post, a 2 year old female, a 10 year old male, and a 6 day old male in the vehicle when the accident occurred. State Police did not say whether Daisy post or the children where injured in the crash.

An accident on State Route 44 in Sharon Township, Potter County, leaded to the arrest of a Buffalo man yesterday. 33 Year old Randy Pekarski lost control of his vehicle, which ended up in a ditch. He was arrested on DUI, and when blood tests were taken at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, it showed that his Blood Alcohol Level was above the limit of .08%.

A vehicle accident on snow covered roads should set an example to other motorists. Along Route 155 northbound, in Portage Township, Potter County, 34 year old Zareyfah Ramadhan of Austin, Pennsylvania was driving too fast for the snow covered road, in which she lost control of her vehicle. Her vehicle struck the guardrails on the right side of the road. The vehicle then traveled across the road, striking the embankment. Her 2000 Tracker sustained moderate damage, and Ramadhan only suffered minor shoulder injuries.

In the Villiage of Millport at the Ebeling Bus Garage on Thursday, some busses were vandalized. According to Pennsylvania State Police, suspects had sprayed Shaving Cream on the outside of 3 busses. The Initials “BP” were found on them. Inside one of the busses, the suspects had also cut into 5 seats. Anyone with information on this incident, should contact the Pennsylvania State Police.
