Michelle Hatcher (my mom) took these pics of the new ladder truck for Roulette. Still no luck getting in touch with any one from the fire department for details. (Can someone have them call me?)

Sources tell us the truck was given fom an anonymous donor...

Just so you know, the Roulette News Blog had more than 4 thousand people log
on in the month of July. That's a record for us. Also, on Monday, 223 people
visited to check the news, the highest day for traffic ever on our website.

Remember, if you like what you see, please pass it on.

We're looking for contributors. We have a few. If you are a high school
student who needs some community service hours, or a senior project, I have
work for you... and can make sure it gets certified.

If you need college internship hours, let me know, I can arrange that as
well.

Homeschoolers looking for projects? Once again, I can help.

And generally, if any of you come across news tips, or have pictures you
have taken, please email them to me.

If you are interested in being a contributing editor, we can arrange that
too.

Our goal is to make the Roulette Rebel the best Twin Tiers News Source. I
recognize we have a ways to go, but, we'll get there, with your help.

Thanks again for logging on!

I just recieved this picture from Congressman John Peterson's office.
The picture shows Michael L. Dominguez, the acting Secretary of the Air Force at the time (current SecAF is Pete Geren), giving Jamie the medal. The second and third pictures feature AF Chief of Staff Gen. John Jumper prominently. Her husband, Mike, is wearing the navy blue shirt. Her parents are on the right side of the bed.

From what I've read about Jamie, she really wanted to be able to stand up and receve her award in uniform. She's also apparently doing much better than she was when this picture was taken.

Chief Craig Simons put in the request through a letter to council, stating

truck could be purchased for a minimum of $125 thousand. Simons says the
department is requesting a plan that would replace the truck within five
years.

A new major at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will help students
learn what it takes to own and operate their own business. The
entrepreneurship major is the first of the kind in our region and one of
only 104 in the United States. The program will kick off this month with the
start of the fall semester. According to Betsy Matz, chairwoman of
Pitt-Bradford's Management and Education division, the new major will center
on e-commerce and also cover the area of running your own business more
thoroughly than the business management major does, particularly the issues
faced by start-up businesses.

There is still room for local residents to participate in the Penn State

August 9, 2005, at 6PM at the 911 Center in Smethport. The workshops

us all of the limitations of our water resources. Residents can collect the
rain water from the structures on their property and use that water in their
gardens and landscapes. Residents will have the opportunity to construct
their own rain barrel at the workshop, which they can take home and use.

This image was sent to us by Michael Colton and Joe Ostroski. The second image was sent to us by Paul Heimel.

I believe it was taken in Coudersport.

As the bald eagle population grows, we should start seeing more and more of these across the region.

To be honest, when I see it, it's no wonder that such a regal bird was chosen as a symbol of our nation.

With Gas Prices still putting a pinch on pockets, it’s a wonder more of this type of crime hasn’t occurred. Someone ran off with 24.50 worth of gas from the West Pike Motor Inn near Galeton without paying. The suspect was located by state Police a little later, and they returned and made good on their purchase, to prevent charges from being filed.

It’s been a year since the FBI raided the homes of a former Wellsville Doctor in connection with the Anthrax investigations. Dr. Kenneth Berry lost his medical license, and is in the process of a divorce, and sill no formal charges have been filed.Berry’s friend, Rev. Dick Helms said in a recent interview with local media that Berry told him he was no longer under investigation. The FBI has not said one way or another.Federal Investigators rarely comment publicly if someone has been cleared in an investigation.

Editor's Note: It wouldn’t be the first time a federal agency made a big deal about nothing and trampled all over someone’s life over a suspicion, and did nothing to make reparations…. Your thoughts? Leave a comment.
